A New Journey: Walking Through the New Testament
Dear friends,
As we step into a new season here at The Midlife Well, I feel God calling us to take a fresh journey through His Word — a journey through the New Testament, starting with the Gospel of Matthew.
For a long time, we’ve drawn inspiration from the story of the woman at the well — a story of renewal, encounter, and living water. And while that story will always hold a special place in my heart, I sense it’s time to expand our journey, to explore the life and teachings of Jesus Himself, from His birth to His resurrection, and everything in between.
Starting with Matthew allows us to see God’s plan unfold in history, to follow Jesus as He grows, teaches, and demonstrates how to live a life rooted in faith, obedience, and love. Each week, we will:
Reflect on key passages, stories, and lessons from Matthew
Consider how these truths apply to our midlife experiences, challenges, and growth
Walk step by step through Scripture with practical reflections, journaling prompts, and small weekly challenges to help us live what we learn
This will be a two-post-a-week journey, giving us time to reflect deeply on each section of Matthew, with space to pause, journal, and let God’s Living Water refresh our hearts, minds, and spirits.
Whether you are new to the Bible or have walked with Him for decades, this series is an invitation to draw closer to Jesus, deepen your understanding of His Word, and cultivate a faith that sustains you in every season of life.
So let’s take this step together — to study, reflect, and grow. Let’s walk through Matthew, one chapter, one lesson, and one week at a time, letting God’s Word guide, renew, and inspire us.
“Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” — Revelation 1:3 (NKJV)
Welcome to this new journey — let’s draw from the well together.
