Make Room To Exhale - Day 2
Day 2: Clearing What Clutters You
“…let us lay aside every weight…” — Hebrews 12:1
Not everything you’re carrying is meant to stay.
Some things have followed you into this season that no longer belong—old thoughts, unnecessary pressure, even physical clutter that quietly drains you every time you see it.
We don’t always realize it, but clutter isn’t just in our homes… it’s in our minds and hearts too.
And God, in His kindness, invites us to lay it down.
Not organize it.
Not manage it better.
Lay it aside.
Because you cannot fully rest in a space that is crowded with what’s weighing you down.
Today is about release… and one intentional step.
Here’s what I want you to do:
1. Clear one small surface
A nightstand, a table, a corner—nothing overwhelming.
As you remove each item, ask yourself: Do I need this here?
2. Pay attention to what you feel
Notice if anything feels tied to stress, obligation, or pressure.
Clutter often carries emotion with it.
3. Let something go
Throw it away, donate it, or simply move it out of your space.
This is an act of release—not just cleaning.
4. Pray as you clear
Quietly say: “Lord, show me what I’ve been holding onto that I need to release.”
Let this be both physical and spiritual.
You’re not just making your home lighter…
You’re making room in your spirit too.
So I’ll ask you today—
What is one thing you need to lay aside?
