Week 2 Challenge: Clearing the Home — Declutter Checklist

Goal: Create peace in your home by intentionally releasing items that no longer serve you and making space for God’s presence.

Step 1: Identify Cluttered Spaces

✅ Living room — surfaces, shelves, drawers
✅ Kitchen — counters, cabinets, pantry
✅ Bedroom — closets, nightstands, dressers
✅ Bathroom — drawers, cabinets, expired products
✅ Office or workspace — desk, papers, supplies
✅ Entryway — shoes, coats, cluttered surfaces
✅ Storage areas — garage, attic, basement, closets

Step 2: Release Items

✅ Clothing no longer worn
✅ Shoes that don’t fit or aren’t used
✅ Books that are not meaningful
✅ Old papers, bills, receipts
✅ Broken or unused electronics or appliances
✅ Decor items that no longer inspire or bring joy
✅ Gifts or items kept out of guilt or obligation

Step 3: Create Peaceful Spaces

✅ Wipe down surfaces and clean areas you’ve decluttered
✅ Arrange remaining items intentionally
✅ Add something that inspires or invites peace (candle, Scripture card, plant)
✅ Light a candle or pray in your cleared space to dedicate it to God
✅ Take a picture to celebrate your progress

Step 4: Reflect

✅ Sit quietly in the cleared area and notice how it feels
✅ Journal or pray about what this space now represents (peace, rest, God’s presence)
✅ Record one insight or lesson learned while clearing
