💧 Week 1: Clearing the Heart — Making Room for God
The holiday season can be beautiful — lights, gatherings, and traditions — but it can also leave our hearts feeling heavy. Old hurts, regrets, fears, and disappointments can pile up like clutter in our souls.
Before we step into a new year, it’s time to pause and clear the heart well. Not just a quick tidy-up, but a gentle invitation to release what no longer serves us — and make room for God’s renewal.
🌿 Step 1: Acknowledge the Clutter
Take a quiet moment and ask yourself:
What emotions or experiences are weighing me down?
Are there worries about the future that steal my peace?
Are there old expectations or regrets I’ve been carrying too long?
Writing them down or whispering them in prayer is the first step toward release.
đź’§ Step 2: Release the Burdens
Psalm 55:22 reminds us:
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” — Psalm 55:22 (NKJV)
Take each burden you named and hand it over to Him. You don’t have to fix it — just surrender it and trust Him to carry it.
🌿 Step 3: Make Room for God
When we let go, we create space for His presence. Space for peace, clarity, joy, and guidance. Take a few moments to visualize God’s living water flowing into your heart, cleansing, renewing, and strengthening you.
📝 Reflection for Your Well
What burden can I give to God today?
How might letting go of this burden change the way I approach the new year?
How can I invite God’s presence into the space I’ve just cleared?
