Week 3 Challenge - Clearing the Mind: Finding Stillness in the Noise
Our minds can feel just as cluttered as our homes. Thoughts swirl — worries, “what-ifs,” to-do lists, and old regrets — leaving little space for God’s voice or peace. This week, we focus on clearing mental clutter and creating space for stillness.
🌿 Step 1: Notice the Noise
Take a quiet moment and reflect:
Which thoughts repeat endlessly and steal your peace?
Are there worries about work, family, or the future that dominate your mind?
Are there negative thoughts about yourself or past mistakes that linger?
Awareness is the first step. Journaling these thoughts can help you see them clearly and prepare to release them.
💧 Step 2: Release Mental Clutter
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Take each recurring worry or thought and hand it over to God in prayer.
Practice a simple mental exercise: imagine placing each thought into a basket and handing it to Him.
🌿 Step 3: Invite Stillness
Dedicate 10-15 minutes each day for silence, Scripture, or prayer.
Turn off distractions: phone notifications, social media, and nonessential tasks.
Let God speak. Listen. Breathe. Let His peace refill the mental spaces you’ve cleared.
