Week 3 Challenge - Declutter Guide — Clearing the Mind

Goal: Create space in your thoughts to invite God’s peace and presence.

Step 1: Identify Mental Clutter

✅ Worries about the future (finances, family, work)
✅ Past regrets or mistakes that resurface
✅ Negative self-talk or comparisons
✅ To-do lists that dominate your mind
✅ Distractions from social media, news, or unnecessary commitments

Step 2: Release Thoughts

✅ Hand each worry to God in prayer
✅ Write down repeating thoughts and surrender them on paper
✅ Practice deep breathing or visualization to “place thoughts in God’s hands”
✅ Limit exposure to unnecessary mental noise (TV, social media, emails)

Step 3: Create Stillness

✅ Dedicate 10–15 minutes for quiet reflection or Scripture
✅ Practice mindfulness during daily routines (washing dishes, walking, commuting)
✅ Use a calming ritual: candle, journal, worship music, or prayer corner
✅ Repeat a Scripture or affirmation that brings peace (Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 26:3)

Step 4: Reflect

✅ Which thought or worry am I proud to have released this week?
✅ How does mental clarity affect my mood, decisions, and spiritual focus?
✅ How can I intentionally invite God’s presence into my mind each day?
